WELL, AS YOU GUYS HAVE KNOWN, I WENT TO DENNIS LLOYD's CONCERT LAST NIGHT.
I was thinking to really tell you guys this amazing story through my snapgram, but I thought this story should've been memorized well more, lol.
So, it was all began from 2 weeks ago, when I started first listen to his songs, I'm not gonna lie, I just started to listen to his songs like for real 2 weeks ago. His first song that I listened to was "Playa (Say That)", you guys might wanna try to listen to it, if you don't fall for it, well sorry guys no offense but we can't be friends lmao. I really fell for it, and for me, if I found one good song of one certain artist, I'll definitely start to listen to all of his songs (which it all happened before to RUSSEL freaking VITALE a.k.a RUSS), and oh yeah I am that kind of person, lame ain't it? Anyway, after I started to listen to all of his songs, I started to follow his instagram and guess what? I found out that he's having a tour in Europe, and Zurich was on the list (for sure). I was really excited, so I checked the website for the tickets straight away, but turned out it was sold out, and what made me pissed is that the concert he's having that is sold out was only Zurich freaking Switzerland, I was like ha ha ha lmao are u shitting me right now. Long story short, me and my roommate (kieks) decided to go to the place that he's having a concert in. Hell yeah, without any tickets, cause somehow we were hoping that someone would sell their tickets or like giving away something like that, well if you have ever been to any concerts, you know the drill. So, we stood there like for 2 hours and asking around if they sell any tickets or at least have spare of tickets, but there was literally no one. We even asked the guard to help us out like if someone would sell their tickets would he please let us know. BUT, I swear god the guard was literally so rude and he just told us like ha ha yeah for sure if anyone would give their tickets free, oh man, I'm not even joking those fuckers are such a pain in the ass, since we told them nicely that we would fucking buy it!
So yeah, anyway, we were so desperate to go inside. I remember that it was 9 pm already, we almost gave up because we thought the show is already started until we have this crazy idea. At first, we had this useless and pointless desperate idea made me send a lot of messages to Dennis' ig saying that we're outside the club and we don't have any tickets blablabla like would u please help us out, but yeah I mean there was no way that he's gonna see it, not a chance. Then, Kieks told me that she followed the saxophone player and so we decided to text him...... and this is where the amazing thing just happened. 5 FREAKING SECONDS LATER HE SAW THE MESSAGE AND REPLIED "How many are you?", we literally jumped that he actually replied. So we told him "2 persons". And he asked what are our last names and then we tell him straight away. At that time, I saw that he just posted a video like 2 mins ago that he was in the car...... with... Dennis..... on the way to the EXIL Club (which is the place that they having a concert in). We literally freaked out because that means the show hasn't started yet, so there is still a hope. Then, it was like 10 minutes later, until we saw the car, because we were standing outside the club so we noticed anyone who comes in and comes out, and it was right there that we saw Dennis was coming out from that car. I was jumping and screaming, no kidding. And the saxophone player told us right after that we should go talk to someone named Nadine because she got our names already. HELL FUCKING YEAH, I thought this couldn't be better no more.
We waited, until there was a woman who was wearing some kind of a name tag as a crew member, so we ran into her because we thought she was this Nadine, turned out it wasn't. But then, we talked to her and asked her if she knew any girl named Nadine, and then we told this woman that the saxophone player invited us in and she saw the message. And I swear, she is literally the best person in the world, she was so nice to us and was really trying to help us out. She said to us that this Nadine could be the tour manager but somehow the sax guy misspelled her name or something like that, so she said that we should wait until the first song finished and she can reassure us that we could go inside. Anyway, she was also with another girl who is also really really nice like friendly and easy to talk to kinda girl and oh guess what, turns out, this another girl is the opener of Dennis Lloyd (shame on us that we didn't know that earlier). Then, finally this Nadine girl came out and asked what are our last names and turned out that we're actually already on the guest list that we could just get in without her. WTFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!! Aye, that don't matter, at least we got in. Actually, there was one sad thing, we were actually with a guy also outside that was looking for one ticket but Nadine couldn't help him out because the ticket was sold out and the only reason that she could help us out is that we got invited by the band. But, 15 minutes after we got in, this guy came in which turned out the last person happened to be have one last spare ticket, so that's good for him.
We enjoyed the show so much, like it was so perfect even though that we were kinda far away from the stage but what matters is that after the show that I got to hug him and like really talk to him. He is really amazing in person, he's so nice, and you can really tell that for him, his fans are the number one. Oh and, the tour manager was actually really nice to us and treated us sooooo nice, she even personally like told us where Dennis gonna show up after the show and that was why I got to be at the front line. We also talked so much with the opener of Dennis Lloyd, I swear god, she's really such an amazing person, her name is Kylie by the way, go follow her insta @Kylie.Spence. She really has an amazing voice and beautiful personality.
Alright, to end this, I just wanna say a huge thank you for those who had made my night such an amazing experience, shout out to @rom.shani_ (the saxophone player), without you, oh man, i really don't know how to say thank you to you, and for Kylie, who even made our night much nicer, thanks for those great small talks and lastly thanks for bearing with us. LAST BUT NOT LEAST..... THANKS FOR THE TOUR MANAGER OF DENNIS LLOYD, you're my main, even though i'm pretty sure that your name is not Nadine but thanks anyway. Oh and hell yeah, thanks to DENNIS LLOYD, I swear god it's just amazing how your music really connects people. And you know what the most amazing thing of all is? Right after when you had those moments that made you realize that there are still so many great people out there.
