WINTER IN BOLD
Good evening people!
Guess where I am right now!
Yeah damn right, I'm currently staying in Germany.
So, let me tell you all the details. As I told you before, my internship starts on 10th February 2018, so I got 2 months to chill. Some of my friends decided to go back to Indonesia, but not me hell yeah. There's no way I'm gonna go back for at least 2 years, not really a fan of going back home so soon. Well, then I decided to go to Germany and stay with my friends who live here. It's soooo good that I could meet them here, I've missed them so much. Before I went here, I stayed in school for like 3 days more than everyone else, and all of a sudden the school changed drastically, I don't know why but it was just kinda strange being in the school where no one else's around. Everyday after lunch or dinner, it was sooo quiet and in peace. No one was smoking at the terrace, hmm well actually there was, but not as many as usual, only a few.
Long story short, I was so bored that I had nothing to do, so my friends and I decided to go to the lake up in the mountain. At first, it seemed like it was a good idea because the weather was pretty chill and the sun was out. Then, we start to walk up there but none of us knew the way. We followed our instincts and just start walk right up to the mountain and took some pictures and boomerang as we walked. The view was so nice, and it felt like I was in wonderland or something, turns out it is true what everyone's been telling that winter in Switzerland is just like winter in wonderland. After around about 45 minutes walk we realized that the road we took was wrong and we have to walk way down again to go to the right road. The weather got pretty bad as we walked down, and when we were about to reach the lake, just 15 minutes more away, we just couldn't take it anymore and we gave up so we went back to the school. I was kinda disappointed but like seriously the weather got soooooo freezing and windy and it was snowing (again) so I guessed that was the right thing to do to go back ahahah.
The story got worse when I was about to leave the school on my check-out day. Kintan and I already decided to go to the Zurich main station together, so I could take the train to airport and she could take the train to Davos. Then, I found out that my flight is at 13.00, so I had to leave one hour earlier than her. Okay, no biggie, she accompanied me to the bus stop, it was snowing real hard, snow on the road was real thick and I had to carried out 2 luggages on my own (well, Kintan helped me with it so I was pretty happy). Just before I reached the airport, I got a message that told me my flight was delayed for an hour. I was sooo pissed like I should've just gone with Kintan and so on. And guess what? As I reached the airport, I got text message again that told me that my flight got delayed for 45 minutes more. I was like, really? Not only that, I also got the ticket that required me to transit first in Cologne. And the next flight is at 16.00 and because of the delay, I was told that I'll arrive at 15.55. What the f*ck, how can I manage to find another gate in 5 minutes as well as the security check. Then I was kinda chill a bit because I know everything was gonna be okay. I arrived in Cologne, then there was a guy that led me to another gate so I didn't have to go through the security check anymore, I was kinda happy about that until they told me the plane got delayed (again) for freaking one hour. For f*ckin sake. It was supposed to be 2 hours trip only and it took me 6 hours to get here. I was so tired, despite the fact that I love flying. What so ever, what matters is that I'm really happy that I could be in this place and hanging out with my long-last friends AND EVERYTHING IS SO CHEAP HERE, like literally I could die happily in this place (I'm still broke af tho) but yeah I'm surviving. I could eat asian food everyday because they have their own kitchen so we can cook everyday anytime we want.
(trust me, the struggle was pretty real to took some of these pictures, but the view was so amazing so I guess it was worth the struggle)
